Topic
Standing in the Dark Heart of Mutuality
Event Details
Mutuality . . . involves honoring your true and total self while also making room for others to do the same—which can be quite challenging at times. Mutuality is the exploration, ever-deepening recognition, and claiming of your authentic nature through vulnerable self-expression, even when that might be unwelcome.
Too often, it seems that Mutuality breaks down when we’re confronted with challenging people and situations, and it feels safer to retreat. How can we meet each other fully in honesty and grace? Come explore the topic of Mutuality in challenging relationships, and find the means to be in Mutuality with greater authenticity.
Prerequisites
Attendance at one Newcomer Sitting or previous participation at an in-person or virtual sitting, workshop, or retreat.
About Subhaga & Sugandhi
Subhaga is a long time teacher of writing, communication, poetry, literature, yoga, meditation, and awakening. She became a full teacher in our work in 2018. Her writing appears in a variety of online and print journals and on her Website. She lives in the spacious hills of the North Cascade mountains in Central Washington with her partner Sugandhi with whom she co-teaches in virtual small groups. A student of Tantra and a devotee of the Divine Mother, Subhaga lives by the words: Trust in Being, and she looks forward to sharing this Trust with you.
Sugandhi has lived a full life as hippie, activist, seeker, mother, grandmother, nurse practitioner, yogi, devotee, and finally artist. She embraces life openly, wholeheartedly, and vulnerably in all its mystery and paradoxical joy and heartbreak. She lives in the heart of the Cascades nestled in the brown hills surrounded by vast sky and deep silence. She is guided by Being. She brings deeply felt loving mutuality, empathy, and compassion as well as finely honed discernment to her Trillium teaching.
