Deborah’s interweave of embodied awakening and somatic healing continues to evolve over many years of study and practice. She has served as a Trillium Awakening teacher since 2002, co-founded The Institute of Awakened Mutuality in 2005, and has been an original member of the Trillium Awakening Operations Circle since 2010. Her teaching approach supports students in integrated awakening through tender attunement and awakened resonance.
In 1983, she began her explorations of embodiment, which continue to this day and have taken her through trainings in Neo-Reichian therapy, Postural Integration, massage, Reiki, Bodynamics, Somatic Experiencing®, interpersonal neurobiology, Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning experience, Organic Intelligence®, Integral Somatic Psychology™, Neuro Affective Relational Model™, and NeuroAffective Touch®. She holds a PhD in Somatic Psychology, and has a deep understanding of post-trauma resilience through assisting multiple Somatic Experiencing trainings and volunteering at a trauma healing clinic she co-founded at a homeless shelter in northern California. In India, she participated with Somatic Experiencing teams assisting survivors of natural and human disasters.
