Interning Teacher

Welcome Message

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. ~Rumi

It would be my honor to support you in the sacred evolutionary journey known as your life. My passion is to cultivate and nurture the living of a purposeful life, a life of wisdom and love and embodied awakening, a life of intimacy with all that we are. I have profound gratitude for Saniel Bonder and the Trillium Awakening teachers for bringing forth the transmission and teachings that alchemically catalyze our ability to awaken to our fullest expression in and as Being.

About my journey:

I have always had a seeking nature. I was the dutiful, respectful but also questioning child in school that needed to understand why and to know “the truth.” Who am I? Why am I here? How does life really work? This inquisitiveness has guided my path personally and professionally as I’ve explored various psychological schools, wisdom traditions, and practices of mindfulness, embodiment, and movement.

My first spiritual love was Ken Wilber. Over a seven-year period I devoured Ken’s books as well as the teachings of multiple spiritual teachers associated with the Integral Spiritual Center. I adopted an Integral Life Practice, a practice I hold loosely to this day. In 2006 I found Adyashanti, my second spiritual love. I lived and breathed his teachings for three years and awakened to my transcendental nature as consciousness. In need of more personal spiritual guidance, I attended my first Waking Down event with Saniel and Linda in 2009. I was literally blown open by the transmission. Nevertheless, it wasn’t until I attended another retreat with Adyashanti that I realized the Waking Down path was my spiritual home. My beloved Adya’s words and transmission were the same, but I was not. I was oozing into myself as embodied awakened consciousness. Yet this was a confusing time for me; could I really claim THIS? Over time my trust in Being has deepened and I continue to be propelled by this mysterious, beautiful, seamless impulse called life.

This work has left me with a fundamental sense of wellness and a foundational home for continued spiritual exploration. It would be inauthentic to leave out my devotional and tantric leanings. Now I would say my spiritual love is She. Elusive and alluring, She shape-shifts as Shakti, the Goddess, the Madonna, my Beloved, God, the mountains, you, and myriad other forms. She lures me into Her embrace through an unquenchable longing and desire to engage with people, places, and ideas. She seduces me into my becoming, awakening me endlessly to What Is. At times the love affair is ecstatic, and at times excruciatingly painful. She is relentless, and I am helplessly in love. I trust this statement by Frederick Buechner: “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”

My gladness involves my work as a clinical psychologist, my deep exploration of the somatic realm, and my creative pursuits. In addition to Ken Wilber, I’ve been influenced by psychospiritual guides Robert Augustus Masters and Judith Blackstone. To enhance my somatic awareness, I am a student of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, 5 Rhythms dance, Feldenkrais movement, and yoga. These explorations of life are enriched by meditation, poetry, photography and painting. I am student of intentional creativity as taught by Shiloh Sophia McCloud.

About my offering as a Trillium Awakening interning teacher: I offer you my presence and holding to help you navigate and relax into your divinely human expression of Being. There is a way in which presence to What Is deeply heals, transforms and awakens us. It would be my honor to be a part of your journey.
